Instructional video
Step 1. Clean your workplace and your hands. To get the most out of your grow kit, it is important to keep other fungi out as much as possible. For that reason, we won't use tap water (bacteria that live in a faucet). Instead prepare 200 ml of water per container from a bottle (or otherwise distilled) and use latex gloves if necessary.
Step 2. Open the box and carefully remove the lid from the container. Pour the water you have prepared, pour it into the container and then put the lid back on.
Step 3. After 8 - 12 hours, pour the excess water out of the container and place the container without lid in the provided bag with its special filters.
Step 4. Spray once a day with a water spray in the bag on the mist setting and let air barge through well. Mushrooms like fresh air and will not grow well if they do not receive enough oxygen. It is important to note that the ideal humidity is about 80-90% and their preferred temperature is 20-25 degrees (68-77 fahrenheit).
Step 5. After about 7 to 15 days you will see mushrooms appear. Harvesting is important as soon as the first hats break. If you wait too long, the mushrooms will drop their spores causing the second flush (bloom) to give less yield. If done in proper time the second flush will often be larger. An example of a mushroom ready for harvest can be seen at (timing **:*** in video).
Step 6. After the first flush, mushroom bloom, you can activate another growth. You do this by repeating from Step 3 onward. Keep airing and misting the filter bag while trying to keep balance at the right humidity for a nice second harvest.
Step 7. Enjoy your harvest! It is advisable to dry the mushrooms, store them in a container or bag that is as airtight as possible and to keep them in a dark place. You can now store, use or ingest this versatile mushroom in many more fun ways. You will find educational information on ways to use and keep them on website, through our Social Media or through contacting our team for personal advice.
